Introduction

Welcome, teachers! This page is designed to help connect you with Greater Cincinnati's environmental education community, so that you may easily find programs, resources, and professional development opportunities.

The major feature of this page is our School Programs Database, which holds a listing of over 140 of the environmental education programs offered to teachers and school groups, by the environmental education organizations throughout the Greater Cincinnati area! It is intended to be a functional, One-Stop-Shopping utility, allowing you to search quickly and easily through all of the options, to find exactly what you need.

**Note: This database is new and still growing! We would like it to become as complete as possible. Environmental educators, please submit your program listings!**

The Database can be viewed several different ways, to make searching easier. You can "Sort" the entire list by any of the following categories:

  • Program Providers - Find all of the programs offered by a given organization.
  • Program Topic � Find everything on a topic, such as "Astronomy" or "Recycling."
  • Type of Program � Split the list into Field Trips, Outreach Programs, Professional Development, etc., before sorting by Topic.
  • Age Level � Split the list by grade level, before sorting by Topic. Programs appropriate for a wide range of grades will show up in multiple places!

Navigation is simple: Just click on the "Sort By" links on the right-hand side of the page!

Custom programs are available, too! Do you have an idea for a program you want, but can't find in the School Programs Database? You can use our Custom Program Request Form (download now) to request a customized program! Requests will be taken to the Greater Cincinnati Environmental Educators (GCEE) network, and its member organizations. Although we cannot guarantee the development of custom programs, we are eager to help you and will make every effort to accommodate your request.

This is a cooperative initiative between Greater Cincinnati Environmental Educators (GCEE) and Leave No Child Inside � Greater Cincinnati (LNCI-gc). Our goal is to connect teachers with environmental education organizations, to help strengthen environmental education for the benefit of all!
