Program Description:

Children investigate the unique role of plants as producers of food through photosynthesis. A hike can include plant life cycles, pollination, seed distribution, how plant structures are related to function and interactions between plants and animals. Fall programs can include leaf collections and the use of classification keys.

This program is available only at the CALDWELL nature center during the FALL and SPRING
While best suited for a nature center, this program can be adapted for presentation at a local park.

How much does the program cost? $5 per child and chaperone. Teachers are FREE. Minimum Fee: $125 (equivalent to 25 children/paying adults)
